This programme prepares young people to step confidently into careers in uniformed services like the New Zealand Police, Fire and Emergency, NZ Defence Force, security, and emergency response. Students will develop leadership, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills through practical training and real-world scenarios. Advanced fitness training and military-style drills ensure that students graduate with the resilience and discipline needed in uniformed services. Along the way, you’ll also explore your own values and strengths, learning how to use them to support your community and thrive in challenging situations.

CSEP3021 – Culture and Communication (Uniformed Services Pathway)

This course provides learners the opportunity to consider their own culture and values, and how these might impact on themselves and others in Aotearoa New Zealand in their role as a team member of a community project or event related to uniformed services.

CSEP3022 – Manage Self and Studies (Uniformed Services Pathway)
This course aims to provide learners with the tools to consider their own rangatiratanga, develop a personal plan with SMART goals, and evaluate the opportunities, skills, barriers and strengths that apply to them and their whānau for their chosen pathway into uniformed services.
CSEP3023 – Pathways Investigation Project (Uniformed Services Pathway)

This course aims to develop learners’ skills to investigate, collaborate and self-reflect to ensure they gain a good understanding of the issues and opportunities that apply to educational and employment pathways into their chosen field of uniformed services.

CSEP3024 – Problem Solving and Decision Making (Uniformed Services Pathway)

This course provides learners with the knowledge of various tools and techniques of identifying problems and ensuring relevant solutions and appropriate decision-making skills are applied to uniformed services-related scenarios, while working collaboratively.
