Tūrama Scholars Programme
Creating a brighter future with NZSE
Tūrama, translated from Te Reo Māori, means illumination, and at NZSE we aim to light the way to your bright future. Our Tūrama Scholars Programme furthers this aim by removing barriers to study, helping you develop skills for success. Full tuition scholarships are now available for NZSE’s Bachelor of Business Information Management, as well as NZSE’s NZ Diploma in Engineering (Electronics Engineering Strand) (Level 6), providing equitable opportunities for those underrepresented in the tech world.
This scholarship was established for female learners who have demonstrated a passion, talent or academic excellence for the programmes offered by NZSE. NZSE wishes to offer the recipient the opportunity to extend their education in order to improve their level of skills.

Eligibility Criteria
Documentation Requirements
- A copy of a legal identification document (i.e. passport, birth certificate).
- One recommendation letter from a non-family member who can be contacted by the selection panel (i.e. an employer, school teacher, member of a community group).
- A certified copy of a Secondary and/or Tertiary academic transcript.
- A current Curriculum Vitae.
- A personal statement outlining your key achievements to date, career goals and contribution to the community.
Selection Process
Applicants will be considered by a selection panel from NZSE. The decision of the selection panel is final.

- Scholarships will be offered on a contestable basis to applicants who demonstrate a passion and talent for engineering.
- This award consists of 2 years' worth of tuition fees for a NZ Diploma in Engineering (Electronics Engineering Strand) (Level 6).

This scholarship was established for learners of Māori descent who have demonstrated passion, talent or academic excellence for the programmes offered by New Zealand Skills and Education (NZSE). NZSE wishes to offer the recipient the opportunity to extend their education in order to improve their level of skills.

This scholarship was established for learners based outside of New Zealand who have demonstrated passion, talent or academic excellence for the programmes offered by NZSE. NZSE wishes to offer the recipient the opportunity to extend their education in order to improve their level of skills.

Eligibility Criteria
- Be an International student who is holding a visa to study a BBIM at NZSE.
- Have a High School Grade Point Average (GPA) of 7 or higher.
- Demonstrate a passion and talent for the chosen programme of study with clear career goals.
- Have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
- Meet the entry requirements of this programme.
