Māori and Pasifika Scholarships

Tūrama means illumination — and at NZSE, we aim to light the way to your bright future. The Tūrama Scholarship Programme removes barriers to education and creates equitable opportunities for those underrepresented in their sector of choice, helping more learners pursue their ambitions and thrive in their career.

Māori Learners Voice Committee at NZSE

Our responsibilities as an organisation to Te Tiriti o Waitangi dictate that we are responsive and sensitive to the needs of tauira. The Māori Learners Committee provides a space for Māori students to:
  • Grow their leadership skills
  • Share feedback on programmes and the wider student experience
  • Represent the voices of their classrooms
Through regular hui, learners deepen their understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, strengthen cultural connection, and build confidence in advocacy and leadership. The committee encourages active participation, being an upstander, and collaboration — empowering Māori learners to shape their learning environment and contribute meaningfully to the NZSE student community.
