IT501 – Network Technologies
The course provides students with fundamental concepts of networking, configuring secure user systems, and troubleshooting networks. Introduces virtualisation and cloud technologies.

IT502 – Programming 1
Basic concepts of programming that help learners to develop skills to design, write, test and debug computer programs.

Microsoft Visual Studio and Git

IT503 – Technology in Society
Introduction to the evolution of computing and its impact on society. Emphasis on the need for ethical IT professionals and collaboration to address societal technical needs.

Online collaboration tools, communication platforms, data management tools

IT504 – Web Design and Database Application
Provides skills and knowledge to design and create robust websites implementing HCI principles, usability testing along with knowledge about the database fundamentals.

Technology used:
Figma, Lucid Charts, Wix, MS Access

ITTS505 – Computer Network Principles
Provides fundamental knowledge and skills to build, configure, deploy and troubleshoot computer networks. Helps learners apply monitoring systems to ensure network availability and resolve network issues.

Technology used:
Cisco Packet Tracer, Oracle VirtualBox

ITTS506 – Operating Systems
Provides skills to install, configure, troubleshoot OS in business environments using CLI and GUI utilities. Emphasis on database optimisation and security risks management.

Technology used:
Windows, Linux, MacOS, CLI and GUI-based tools, DBMS optimisation tools

ITTS507 – Security Fundamentals
Introduces fundamental network security concepts, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, applying security best practices, and tools to mitigate risks.

Networking monitoring tools, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), risk management frameworks

ITTS508 – IT Support and Services Management
Provides skills and knowledge to apply the concepts of IT service Management to plan, deliver and support IT services.
